You have probably heard a few nautical metaphors over the years, sayings such as, “A boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into” or “You know what boat stands for? Break Out Another Thousand!” The funny thing is that most of the people making these statements are boat owners. Now you are probably asking yourself, why would somebody want to have anything to do with something that they knew was a bad deal financially and seemed to cause them so much aggravation?
The answer is that the memories you make out on a boat with your friends and family are hard to beat. Whether you enjoy a sunset cruise or trying to land the catch of a lifetime, boating/fishing is an activity that you are actually sharing the experience with the other people on the boat. It is something that is tough to duplicate and for certain “boaters” these moments make the expense and hassle of boat ownership worth it.
If you talk to someone who owned a boat or grew up in a boating family, they will have a number of great stories to tell you, because these are the type of memories that will stick with you for a lifetime.
For me, there are memories like the time we were the only boat out and came across a pod of hundreds of porpoise, having whales so close to the boat that they sprayed us when they surfaced, catching my first tuna fish at age 18 with my father and best friend, those perfect days at Sandy Point and a number of nights where that sunset cruise was just what I needed.
Now, what if I tell you there is a way to get access to a fleet of boats and start creating memories with your family and friends for a fraction of the cost of ownership and none of the headaches.
