Hosted by the Newburyport Chamber, Fall Fest is the official name for Newburyport’s 2023 Autumn celebration, yet both the name of the event and the associated activities have evolved over the years. Fall Festival, Fall Harvest Festival, Octoberfest and October Festival are all prior year names for what is now referred to as Newburyport Fall Fest. If you happen to recall the Pumpkin Lighting or the Scarecrow Contest these are also prior year activities that were part of the Fall Fest umbrella. If you enjoy attending outdoor events during during the autumn season, we high recommend the annual Fall Festival in Georgetown, hosted by Nunan’s and Cafe Sarina. Newburyport and Amesbury are also host to traditional Oktoberfest celebrations hosted by our local breweries.
