Beginning on April 21st, Google is now considering the mobile-friendliness of your website in its mobile search rankings. In other words, if your website is not “mobile-ready”, or does not have a responsive design, then it will not rank as high as sites that comply.

According to Google, “users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”
