Market Square Live CAM – A Historic View of Newburyport Community
The Market Square Live CAM is used by many locals and visitors to check out happenings in Market Square. This live web camera looks out over Market Square, where Merrimac Street, State Street and Water Street meet in the center of downtown Newburyport. The City of Newburyport is host to many annual events and festivals. During these festivities you can view real-time live entertainment via our Market Square Live Cam.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Market Square is lined with Federal style brick buildings. If you’re standing in Market Square, and look high up on the center of the building you will see a subtle off white stone sing that says, West Row. All of these buildings were row houses when originally constructed and many have been converted into restaurants and retail shops.
