Pettengill House Fundraiser – Have a Blast Supporting Local!

Pettengill House Fundraiser, Salisbury MA

For four hours Saturday, March 24, Salisbury Beach’s Blue Ocean Music Hall will be rocking as it hosts the annual Pettengill House fundraiser from 7 to 11 p.m. With music from the Thomas Machine Works Band and Low Ex, this year’s theme is Pony Up For The Pettengill. This year’s Pettengill House fundraiser  is being promoted as a casual event and attendees are encouraged to wear denim and even cowboy boots.  Tickets are $60 in advance and $70 at the door, with all proceeds helping the Pettengill House, located at 13 Lafayette Road (Route 1).

“Together with our generous friends and supporters, it’s time to celebrate all that our agency does for the nine local towns that we serve. Our work continues as we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that the basic needs of every individual, child and family in our service area are met,” Pettengill House Executive Director Deb Smith said.

In addition to dancing the night away, the Pettengill House fundraiser features live and silent auctions, along with a raffle and great food. The evening will also feature a tribute to Honorary Chairperson John Wile recently named volunteer of the year. Since 2009, Wile has donated money and spent countless hours coordinating Petengill House road races. Among the items up for grabs at the auctions are tickets to see Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium in July, Red Sox and Bruins tickets, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, and an electric guitar autographed by Cars guitarist Elliot Easton, Charlie Farren from the band Farrenheit and other famous ax-men.

Blue Ocean Music Hall, located at 4 Ocean Front North, is again donating the use of its world-class music venue free of charge as are the two bands of the evening, the Thomas Machine Works Band and Low Ex. The Thomas Machine Works Band is no stranger to those attending past Pettengill House fundraisers and is affectionately known as the house’s house band.
