Owners, a.ka. The Bob Lob Crew, Paul Rooney, Jasmine Lewan, Brad DeLibero, and Kim-soo DeLiberoal are all local Plum Islanders. They purchased the restaurant and seafood market from THE Bob (and his wife Joyce) of Bob Lobster in 2017 with promises to carry on the tradition of offering high quality seafood in a friendly and laid back atmosphere.
Customers walk up to the counter to place their order and the food is delivered to their tables. Outside seating is filled with casual picnic tables, including a covered area to protect against the elements, while inside has a sleek, nautical look with booths and tables. If you sit inside, you can also purchase beer and wine to pair with your meal.
Of course Bob Lobster is known for excellent lobsters, but they also serve delicious chowders, fried seafood, homemade crab cakes, salads, and Chef Brad’s specialty, poutines. Jasmine, in charge of operations but also a culinary trained Chef, features delicious drink specials that are a must try!
After you enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner, make sure to visit their fresh seafood market to purchase fish, clams, scallops, and more for a home cooked meal the next day. Or if you don’t feel like being the chef, grab a homemade take and bake seafood pie or lobster mac n’ cheese.
Bob Hartigan, a commercial lobsterman for over 30 years, started selling his catch out of his home basement back in 1982 and became so well known that no sign was needed. The islanders always knew where to find him. Bob and his wife Joyce opened Bob Lobster restaurant and fresh seafood market back in 2001.
