The Park Lunch Sports Bar and Restaurant—Serving Locals Since 1957

Whether its game time or family dinner night, The Park Lunch is the sports bar and restaurant where all the locals hang out in Newburyport. Established in 1957, The Park Lunch invites you to pull up a stool at the bar to catch a game and socialize or grab a cozy booth in the dining room to have a bite with family and friends.

This family-friendly sports bar has a laid back atmosphere with sports paraphernalia covering its walls. While you will of course find New England team logos, The Park Lunch also proudly shows it’s crimson pride with Newburyport High sports teams—look for photos of teams and players throughout the years, jerseys, banners, and more!

The Park Lunch is famous for its delicious fried clams, but also offers a huge menu filled with pizza, burgers, fried seafood, and main dishes like steak and haddock. Along with the laid back atmosphere, the hearty helpings and classic meal options are what keep locals coming back.

And as any regular will tell you, pay attention to The Park Lunch’s specials, they’re always a hit! You can find daily updates on the sports bar’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

The Park Lunch owners Dan and Karen Wilmot carry on the traditions this sports bar brought to Newburyport over 60 years ago. Dan worked as a chef under the original owner, Mike Adams—eventually buying The Park Lunch himself. Dan continues to operate as the chef as well as co-owner with his wife Karen.

Can’t dine in? The Park Lunch offers take out. Orders can be called in or placed online. All orders that include specials must be ordered by phone.
