Waterfront Movies Showcasing Family Films

Hosted by the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, Newburyport Waterfront Movies provide free outdoor family fun in downtown Newburyport!  When the sun goes down, a 40-foot outdoor movie screen goes up in Waterfront Park. Traditionally the Waterfront Movies have been hosted during the summer months but you will notice that the 2022 schedule features one movie per month from August through October. Movie start times are slated for 7:30 or once it is dark enough to start the films.

The Newburyport Waterfront Movie Series features family-friendly movies as a way to provide some classic fun for all to enjoy. These free events have become a must-do for many local families from Newburyport and surrounding towns. Thank you to Newburyport Bank for sponsoring this cherished tradition. Below are the 2022 movie dates. 

2022 Movie Lineup:

Thursday, August 18th – Mulan
Thursday, September 15th – Soul
Thursday, October 13th – Karate Kid – CANCELLED

*Note, there was a last minute cancellation of Soul due to wind but the Chamber plans to reschedule. We will post the new date as soon as it is announced.

Claim your spot with your favorite chairs or blanket and make sure to pick up dinner from one of our great local Newburyport cafes or restaurants.  If you have the Newburyport VIP Card you can enjoy discounts at many local Places to Eat!  Below are a few suggestions for delicious take out options near Waterfront Park.
